Photoshoot for Agility and Dog Parade training.

Once again we have been appointed as the official photographer for PAAPP for the year 2011. The first photoshoot we covered was a trial run for a dog parade and agility training which was held at Tessie field. Below are some photos from the photoshoot:

SPCA Photos.

We shared a booth with GrASS at the Pet Fiesta held on the 16th and 17th of April in ICT@Komtar. A studio was set-up for owners who wanted a picture with their pets but since business was slow, we 'dog-napped' a few dogs from the SPCA booth to attract the crowd.

Agility demo at ICT@Komtar

We have been asked by PAAPP to take photos for them during their agility demo which was held in ICT@Komtar. PAAPP started their demo with a dog parade followed by a Cheetah course; where the dogs are to run in a straight line through a few obstacles; and ending the demo with some pet tricks.

Pet Fair @ KOMTAR ICT Penang, 15-17 April 2011!

There will be a Pet Fair from the 15 -17 April 2011 at Komtar ICT Level 2 & 3. Shows will be held at level 2 and sales & promotions will be on level 3. The even starts at 11 am and ends at 6pm.

GrASS will be having a booth there as well. SO please come by and support us, as we will be having a mini photo booth for you and your pet to be photographed!

Memories of PAAPP, 2010

In the year 2010, we have been selected to be the official photographer for the Penang Dog Agility Association (PAAPP). As the year approaches the end, we went through the photos taken throughout the year and have made a compilation for the association called "Memories of PAAPP, 2010". Dog Magnets For Charity

We are helping a local animal shelter, Penang Green Animal Shelter & Sanctuary (GrASS ), sell some hand made dog magnets. The magnets are sold in sets of 6 pieces for MYR25.00. Each magnet is a different breed of dog. All proceeds will go to the GrASS. Do lend them your support and view all the dog breed magnets here.

Penang Pets Photography is passionate about pets! We work to create timeless, classic, stylistic pet portraits worthy of being displayed next to your other art. This is our way of giving back to society via the animal shelter & sanctuary GrASS and we are also volunteer photographers for GrASS and the PAAPP.

Our services are available mainly on Penang Island and other regions upon request. We can come to you for a creative session at your home or nearby park or beaches. We also hold sessions at our photography studio by the beach, located just 30 minutes outside of Georgetown.

How We Do It?

At Penang Pets Photography we celebrate animals. We are deeply aware of the value animals add to our lives from our work with the GrASS. We would like to create a beautiful photograph of your pet that will be remembered always and in the times to come.

OVERVIEW: We shoot on-location, generally at the client's home, or at our studio located on Penang Island. We prefer our sessions to take on a life of their own and flow easily with your pet's personality and energy level. Pet photography, dog photography in particular, requires constant understanding, adaptability and flexibility!

THE PROCESS: We begin by having a consultation session with the client. This is the first step in creating special images of your pet(s). The consultation is a Q&A session that helps us to learn more about you and your pet so that we are able to obtain a more natural approach in photographing them. If we are shooting at your home expect some additional questions that will help us understand what to expect regarding lighting and backgrounds. If you have chosen a home session, we may request to visit your home prior to the shoot. Sessions on Penang Island are often handled by phone and emails.

THE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION: Our goal at Penang Pets Photography is to capture images of your pet's personality in their most natural state. Since we will already have a good idea of the final image we'd like to create, this is often the easiest part. Of course, because we are photographing pets - anything can happen! Our vast experience with animals allows us to go with that flow, capture natural expressions, images that are outstanding.

If you choose a LOCATION SESSION we prefer to come to your home where your pet is most comfortable.

The best images are captured when pets feels the most comfortable which allows them to move and act freely. We will shoot both inside (if you prefer) and out using natural light and ask that there be areas of significant shade. We also insist that any outside areas be fenced or secure for your pet's safety.

Some people prefer a STUDIO SESSION. For those pets who acclimate quickly and travel well, a studio session allows us to take a different approach. In the studio we like to get creative with lighting and settings. The sessions are still playful and stress-free - just a bit more controlled. It really depends on the final product you envision as well as your pet's personality.

YOUR IMAGES will be ready two to three weeks or more after your session depending on the workload and we will contact you for an appointment to select the photographs.

ORDERING SESSION: Our photographers are always available, and prefer to meet up with you to finalize your order, review photographs, and discuss your designs.
