Canvas printing by We Doooooooooooo

We recently sent a photo to WeDoo for canvas printing. The photo came out better than expected and the company has requested permission from us to use the photo for advertising purposes. The photo came with a frame at an affordable price. Below is a photo of the canvas print.

Sparx & Fritz

Tropical Spice Garden is a nice place to visit for relaxation. This is due to the fact that it is surrounded by lush greenery and fresh air. The garden is not only meant for humans to enjoy as Sparx, a golden retriever, and Fritz, a miniature schnauzer, have proven.

The two brothers were brought to the garden by their owner Daniel , where they enjoyed the fresh air and morning walk.

Tropical Spice Garden

It's been a while since we updated our blog. As you know, we have an arrangement with the management of Tropical Spice Garden to bring pets on to their premise (with some conditions). We visited the gardens to familiarize ourselves before bringing clients there to prevent us from walk ing around the garden aimlessly during the photo shoot.

As this was my first time visiting the garden, I was impressed with how many places there are suitable for photography. Spent about 4 hours walking the garden trying not to get lost.

New backdrops

We have recently added three (3) new backdrops to our collection. We are excited about these backdrops because they are foldable. No more problems with transportation and storage. Do check out the photos below and request for a particular backdrop when you book a session with us.

In Loving Memory Of Missy (16 February 2011)

Another dog has gone to heaven, Missy was 12 and passed away at about 3:00 pm on 16 February 2011. Hopefully she will meet Cindy at the rainbow bridge & they will keep each other company until the rest of us reach there.

We miss you a lot, we hoped that you would still be here but unfortunately, maybe it was easier for you to go.

Penang Pets Photography is passionate about pets! We work to create timeless, classic, stylistic pet portraits worthy of being displayed next to your other art. This is our way of giving back to society via the animal shelter & sanctuary GrASS and we are also volunteer photographers for GrASS and the PAAPP.

Our services are available mainly on Penang Island and other regions upon request. We can come to you for a creative session at your home or nearby park or beaches. We also hold sessions at our photography studio by the beach, located just 30 minutes outside of Georgetown.

How We Do It?

At Penang Pets Photography we celebrate animals. We are deeply aware of the value animals add to our lives from our work with the GrASS. We would like to create a beautiful photograph of your pet that will be remembered always and in the times to come.

OVERVIEW: We shoot on-location, generally at the client's home, or at our studio located on Penang Island. We prefer our sessions to take on a life of their own and flow easily with your pet's personality and energy level. Pet photography, dog photography in particular, requires constant understanding, adaptability and flexibility!

THE PROCESS: We begin by having a consultation session with the client. This is the first step in creating special images of your pet(s). The consultation is a Q&A session that helps us to learn more about you and your pet so that we are able to obtain a more natural approach in photographing them. If we are shooting at your home expect some additional questions that will help us understand what to expect regarding lighting and backgrounds. If you have chosen a home session, we may request to visit your home prior to the shoot. Sessions on Penang Island are often handled by phone and emails.

THE PHOTOGRAPHY SESSION: Our goal at Penang Pets Photography is to capture images of your pet's personality in their most natural state. Since we will already have a good idea of the final image we'd like to create, this is often the easiest part. Of course, because we are photographing pets - anything can happen! Our vast experience with animals allows us to go with that flow, capture natural expressions, images that are outstanding.

If you choose a LOCATION SESSION we prefer to come to your home where your pet is most comfortable.

The best images are captured when pets feels the most comfortable which allows them to move and act freely. We will shoot both inside (if you prefer) and out using natural light and ask that there be areas of significant shade. We also insist that any outside areas be fenced or secure for your pet's safety.

Some people prefer a STUDIO SESSION. For those pets who acclimate quickly and travel well, a studio session allows us to take a different approach. In the studio we like to get creative with lighting and settings. The sessions are still playful and stress-free - just a bit more controlled. It really depends on the final product you envision as well as your pet's personality.

YOUR IMAGES will be ready two to three weeks or more after your session depending on the workload and we will contact you for an appointment to select the photographs.

ORDERING SESSION: Our photographers are always available, and prefer to meet up with you to finalize your order, review photographs, and discuss your designs.
