Penang Horse Show 2012

We attended the Penang Horse Show which was held in Penang Turf Club from 30th November until 2nd December. We were there early to watch the opening and also to get some photos of horses doing jumps.

After the equestrian event, we walked around the stalls to see if they have anything interesting. As usual, there are horses on display, fire-breathing demonstration and also horse-shoe making competition.

There is also a stage where some performances were help. The PAAPP was there to demonstrate dog obedience and some simple dog tricks.

A silver parcel

Just to share an exciting news. We got a call from a courier service asking if it was possible to drop by their office to collect a parcel. We weren't expecting any parcels so we were curious to know what the parcel contains and who it was from. After signing for the parcel, we opened it and was surprised to find a silver folder with the Nikon logo on the back.....

...And on the front of the folder has the NPS words printed across it.

The folder contains a welcome letter, two sets of NPS stickers and a NPS card which has a validity of 2 years. We still have no idea what to do with the stickers for the time being. Below are some photos of the stickers, the welcoming letter and the NPS card.

Bella The JRT

Jack Russell Terrier or JRT in short was bred for hunting. This breed has a high level of energy and requires a lot of daily exercise. We got to know Bella through Sue from PAAPP. Sue was training Bella to compete in agility and asked us to take photos of Bella while she is training.

Below are some of the photos of Bella during her agility training.

Official Announcement!

Hello Everyone!

We are pleased to announce that we went to the Companies Commission Of Malaysia (CCM), to register Penang Pets Photography on 6th of November 2012.

All we had to do was to fill out FORM A, pay MYR 60.00  (for five years due to their current incentive) & wait our turn to check the business name availability.

After about 45 minutes, we were informed that we had the green light for everything & to return the next day to collect the receipt of payment along with the official registration cert.

The following day, we received a call from the CCM informing us that the name Penang was not approved as it is only for government use, Professional was too vague...thus we had to crack our heads together...leading to inappropriate laughs at P-words & finally decided on ONE that is PRECIOUS.

We went by today to collect our cert & are happy to let you know that Penang Pets Photography is now officially registered as Precious Pets Photography (but we are keeping our blog name & using PENANG as our original name ;) )

Enough said. Hope you find it exciting too!

In Loving Memory Of Lea/Benji (2 October 2012)

Lea/Benji was rescued but an independent rescuer, CT Yeoh. She was tied to a pole near a construction site. There was no shelter for her to hide from the sun and rain. Mr. Yeoh tried to persuade her owners to let him adopt Benji but no avail. After many months of presuading her owner to let Benji be adopted, they finally gave in. Benji finally had a home.

Mr. Yeoh took her to the vet for a check-up and there was a maggot wound at the right side of her ear. He treated her wounds. When Benji has recovered, he gave her up for adoption because he wanted to rescue another dog. Joanne drove down from Penang to KL to adopt Benji.

Her name was then changed to Lea and she was introduced to her other siblings. She would go wait at the gate every morning to inform that she wants to go out to do her business. She even has a special spot in the porch.

All was well until she was tested positive for canine distemper. She was still her usual self but her health deteriorated very fast. Mr. Yeoh was informed of this and he took the trouble to drive up to Penang to see Lea. When he arrived, the decision to Lea to sleep was agreed upon and with heavy hearts we drove to the vet.

After Lea was put to sleep, Mr. Yeoh decided to drive back to KL with Lea. He wants to take her to her final resting place which is just outside his shop.

We will always remember and miss your cuteness, your busy-bodiness and your cries and whines. Wish you could spend a longer time on earth but you were called back earlier because you have completed your duties. Watch over us and be happy at the Rainbow bridge. R.I.P. Lea/Benji.

In Loving Memory of Fara (21 August 2012)

Fara of the Butterfly Chasers crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday night. She was 10. We saw her just a few days ago and she was happy. Her sudden passing comes as a shock to her family members. Fondly remembered as the Queen of our hearts!

Sharon's Babies

We recently traveled up north to Alor Setar for a photo session with 2 Golden Retrievers and a Schnauzer. When we first arrived at the location, we could see a paddy field just in front of the house. We were hoping to get some photos of dogs in the field but it didn't happen.

The dogs were happily running up and down the road chasing each other. One of the Golden picked up a plastic bottle and asked us to play fetch with her. After a few hours of running and chasing each other, they went into their house to get away from the sun.

Mini

A close friend recently asked us to shoot his Mini One as a momento of the car. We were quite nervous about this shoot as this is the first time we are shooting automobiles. As this was a spur of the moment decision, we scouted for a suitable location just hours before the photoshoot.

The shoot was split into two (2) sessions. The first session was for location shoot where the car was shot outdoors and the second session is where we concentrate on the finest details in and around the car. We were basically combing the entire car to make sure we do not miss out anything.

All in all, the shoot was a new and fun experience for us and we were glad we accepted the assignment. So do sit back and enjoy the photos:
